June Cupcake kit

Hi again everyone,
I am back to share another layout using the June Cupcake kit from
A Pice of cake designs.

This layout is a photo of my daughter who LOVES
to read!! She is also a great, animated story teller and I really
wanted to document this aspect of her life.
Often when we go shopping and if she has some pocket money , more
often than not she goes straight for the book sections
in the stores.

I have like the last layout,
used a tag from the kit to highlight and frame my
Instagram photo.
I have used lots of different strips of the papers,
as well as the sticker sheet in the kit.
I have added some of my own washi tapes and a past kit flair.

I LOVE this mask so I used a yellow Faber Castell
gelato to add these words to my page.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying your kit

Another layout using the last cupcake kit....

Hi again everyone,
I have another layout to share using this month's cupcake kit

This time I have used different sized strips of the various papers to create my background. I then used Faber Castell gelatos over them to highlight and give an arty feel.

I have also sewed over parts of my page and used a text stamp over the top of my papers.

I have used more of the papers as circles and other shapes. All the stickers are from the Echo Park sticker sheet including the title.

Thanks for popping by, Eb xx
Hi again everyone!
Here is another bright layout using this month's cupcake kit from " A Piece of Cake design kits".

This layout was totally inspired by this awesome piece of paper in the kit! I knew straight away that I wanted to cut out the chevrons and use as the main focus of my layout!!!

I used mists in the same colours and as always added some stamping and sewing to create interest.

Once I had sewn the black circle with my sewing machine I added a circle from the yellow wire to frame my photos. I also once again loved using the sticker words on the Echo park sticker sheet and just added some of my own rub ons and alphas to create a different look from my previous layouts.

Until next time ,happy creating! Eb xx

More of a Piece of cake Designs...

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you this grungy, boyish, fun layout today using the contents from the main kit this month from "A Piece of Cake designs".

There are lots or gorgeous papers and embellishments in this month's kit that can be used for both feminine or masculine layouts. This time I have created this one!

The  kraft cardstock was my base to begin with and using lot's of different strips of the various papers I created a background for this photo of Will taken a few years ago!
To add a grungy feel I used a sewing machine to add in some messy black stitching and added a layer or some white gesso over the background using an old credit card.

Once again I loved using the film strip stickers and this time used the basic grey scrabble letters as my title.
I painted some of the cute veneer shapes to match my circular panel.
I have added some circular panels by 2 Crafty to add some dimension to my page.
As I always do I used various stamps to add interest to my layout!

Thanks for popping by, Eb x

Hi everyone,

This month I have been playing with the latest  A piece of cake designs Main kit.

I love the versatility of this kit as at first glance it appears quite masculine.
So I wanted to challenge myself to creating a page that had a more feminine, yet fun
and young page.

So this is my first layout to share with you ......
I have chosen a paper from the kit and used a sewing machine
to sew a swirl effect as my background
I have cut pieces from other pieces of papers in the kit to place
under my photo. I then applied some acrylic paint and
some watercolour paint to my background.
I used the paper with triangles all over it
to cut out various triangles keeping in mind my color scheme.

I also used some cut out card stock circles from my stash of card stock and added
some spotted washi tape.

I LOVED the piece of vellum with the stars all over it and used it to cut
out some circles to add to my background.
Another thing I LOVED abot this kit were the awesome black stickers!!
I have used the film strip, one of the cameras and the insta lovin title!
Totally easy and really effective!!
I tried to use the scrabble type letters on this page and it
didn't work so I used a Heidi Swapp Stamp instead
and coloured the letters in with some brush watercolour markers.
But don;t worry, I found a use for the scrabble letters on a another
layout which I will share next time!!

Thanks for looking, Eb x

I used PURPLE!!!!

Ok, I have a confession to make.... I hate the colour purple! BUT this kit has made me change my mind!!

I actually loved using it! This kit had a mix of beautiful colours, yellows, purples, greys, aqua and even red. I LOVED putting these layouts together and I even used lot's of paper on one layout!
Here is the first of my layouts....

This layout started off by using the chevron patterned papers which inspired my use of colours here.
I used some yellow paint on some white cardstock mixed with some blue paint with the Teresa Collins Heart stencil from the kit to create my background. Add in some machine stitching, various washi tapes from my own stash and some stamping.
I added the cut out camera and a cherry flair to be released soon :) along with some sticker elements from the sticker sheet in the kit.
The title was created tracing the letters from the Teresa Collins alphabet stencil and coloured in with a green Faber Castell gelato.

Close up of the camera cut out.

This next layout  was the first of my "purple " layouts and pushed me out of my comfort zone!

I began by selecting a range of papers from the kit that included purples, yellows and a bit of  tangerine in them. I tore and cut these papers and layered until i was happy. I then took the alphabet stencil and coloured over it with a yellow gelato.  ( you could spray with mist or use paint ). I then sprayed it with water and used it like a stamp over my papers on my background.

I then sewed over my papers and added some stencils, stamping and some washi tapes.
My title is from the kit which I loved! It makes me want to buy a silhouette for myself!
I also once again added a new flair to be released soon, and some of the gorgeous sequins .

Until next time, Eb x
