A few shares

Hi I'm back!! Boy how do people do this work thing and still have time to have a life, scrap, blog.....oh my gosh! it's tough!!!

I honestly think my poor little blog is going to be the first to suffer until I get into the swing of life at the moment so please forgive me for few and far between posts and posts that will probably be photo heavy!

These layouts I have created using this months "A piece of cake design" kits. I know I say this every month but I really LOVED this kit! I sat and did 4 layouts in one sitting and still have more yummy things left over to create more! I won't go into huge detail here about each layout and the products used as you can read it here.
So I must warn you these are all very bright, arty, messy , fun layouts!!
So this one ..............  "Happy feet"

LOVE these new release cherry flairs!

And this one is of Will's 9th Birthday! We took some of his friends to play Mini golf followed by a swim at the local pool!

Remember to click on the link to see details of the products used :)
Here is a sneak peek of one of my latest creations for "Bella Blvd"!!!

And this is also a "Bella Blvd " layout...

And lastly ( sorry very quick post today!) a layout I created for a challenge over on the Cocoa daisy site!
We had to be inspired by this talented lady.....Denise Morrison.
I love her work as I find it similar to mine!

 Well until next time....Eb xxx

Escape 2 Create part 2:

So back to telling you all about escape 2 create! I want to also acknowledge some other AMAZING ladies that I met whilst there.
I know it sounds strange to say that you've just met someone and then you become best buds but seriously this is how I felt at this retreat.
Amanda Hall and Meredith Treloar treated us like superstars! Honestly that's how I felt however I was quite emotional about it all as I honestly didn't feel worthy of all their efforts. They went ABOVE and BEYOND in what they provided us teachers with. It would be nice to think this is how all teachers get treated when they are asked to teach at such events .......you would hope so.

The beautiful Meredith
The gorgeous Amanda

And then there was this lady!!! She totally rocks and I miss her already! She was very kind and took all 4 of us on a tour of Port Lincoln while we waited for the retreat to start.
Nat May! AKA HappyDaks!!!
She even organised a welcoming committee!! ( Well not really!!! Hillarious though this random dude playing didgeridoo!)
I could not miss mentioning seeing this amazingly talented, gracious, beautiful FRIEND of mine which is always so special..... Louise Nelson.
It was even more special when Lou asked me to scrap a layout for her!!! Wow nerve racking or what!!! But  what was even more special was I now have a LOU CREATION all of my own which I will treasure. WOW! Talk about amazing....you really should see the detail in it! Thanks my friend I love it xxx

So after doing a layout for Lou, I found a little photo of someone else sitting at my desk waiting to be scrapped!! I created a layout for Nat too but I don't have any photos of it so I might have to ask her to send me one!! LOL!
But I also had the pleasure of being asked by the one and only Kim Jeffress to scrap a layout of her too. So I really wanted to depict Kim's personality and style but also create in my style. I knew she loved Heidi Swapp so I used Heidi Swapp colour shine sprays and a buzz word.....

I also got to finally met this talented lady too. ......Mardi Winen!!! She is so sweet and lovely!!! So glad to finally met her!!!

There was really SO many lovely people that I met and got to see again....tooo many to mention here! But thank you to every single one of you for making it such a special, memorable event!!

I  will share some more layouts next time, Eb xxx

OOH....just in the nick of time!!!

Life once again has been extremely crazy here this week. Working, easter, gastro (yuk!) , holidays, more work...you know how it is!!! And I still have two units of study to finish before the end of these holidays...AARGHHH!
But I needed some creative time so last night I was in the zone big time and managed to squeeze a few last minute challenges in from last month that thankfully had extended deadlines and even a new challenge for this month!!!
So before I go and and share more Escape 2 create layouts I want to share these last minute challenge layouts.

This one was for "Scrap the boys". The challenge was a recipe challenge using things I love to use!

                        2 Photos 6x4 or smaller
                                  Chipboard
                                  Washi Tape
                                 Mists/Paints

                                                  And my layout!
Lots of misting, doodling, washi tape and an awesome "Cherry Flair" by Piece of cake designs!
Everything on the checklist too!

This one was for "White with one". The challenge was to use
                                    WHITE + BROWN + DOODLING
So when I saw that I had to include doodling I knew I had to give this ago!!!!

Recently my hubby had a go of the old style hard hat diving at Port Arlington pier. I got some amazing photos so I knew this was a perfect challenge to scrap this one!

I have always doodled on my pages in fact not one layout doesn;t have doodling! But lately I have been using a grey lead pencil to add doodling details like this...... my new addiction!!!

I also managed to new monthly challenges this week.
This one was for a site I used to be a DT for 123 challenge blog
The challenge threw me at first I must admit but after seeing Amanda Hall's awesome bright layout it inspired me to create my usual bright style even with the colour!

* Our colour = Duck Egg Blue
* Our Word = Today
* Our Technique = White Wash

                                              "TODAY IS FULL OF POSSIBLE.........."

Loved this quote I found . I have used bright yellow paint and white washed over it with gesso and used the duck egg blue to paint my circles.

And lastly I had a go at the challenge at "Kraft it up" this month. The challenge:
This month we want to recycle some of that product packaging and use it on your layout, the only must have is that you use Kraft Cardstock or Kraft Patterned Paper!

Now I have to admit this is easy when your daughter has the same name and initials as a manufacturer!!!

I LOVE these neon sprays by SEI!! How cool are they???
Anyway thanks for popping by, Eb x

One word.....

There is only one word I can use describe the Escape 2 Create weekend I just attended...."WOW!!!!!!!"

I honestly can say it was the best fun I have had on a retreat. The organisation was impecible, the location beautiful, the company inspiring and entertaining, the food delicious .....all round just a retreat that is in a league of its own. Amanda Hall and Meredith Treloar should be SO proud of how far their retreat has come and the time , blood , sweat and tears that clearly goes into every last detail is so evident!
I was so honoured to be asked to teach at this retreat and I hope to return year after year!!!

I don't know where to start with sharing all my photos and layouts so today I am going to start with telling you about 3 amazing, inspiring, crazy, fun, loving ladies who I now can call my friends (physical friends LOL!!!...sorry private joke!) These ladies helped to make this weekend amazing.

I must start with this crazy lady!!!!!! My travel buddy Sharmaine Krujiver. This lady is SO talented and SO hillariously funny!!! I couldn't have picked a better travel buddy! She is so much fun and so inspiring!

This lady you all should know!!! Kim Jeffress. She is one of Australia's most sought after scrappers over seas and she deserves it as she is one talented lady! She is also so sweet!!! It was so amazing to get to know Kim better and I loved our chats!

Now this wonderful. funny lady who too is extremely talented, Gail Lindner! Oh you are adorable! Loved laughing with you and so glad we got to meet!!! I will remember your "isms" forever!!!!! LOL!

So we all shared a room and a table.
                                                  We laughed..............
                                                ( sorry unedited pics here!)
Laughing so hard she cried!!!

Kim,Sharmaine and I taught and supported one another in doing so. Their support and encourgement meant a lot to me.

And we dressed up like crazy people for some cool photos on the photo booth!!!

We all decided to scrap this photo in our styles and today you can visit these ladies blogs to see their creations too!!!!
                                                            SHARMAINE
                                                                  KIM
                                                                  GAIL
Just click on their names to head
over and check out their blogs!

So here is my layout! Bright, funky and crazy just like all of us!!! Love these girls!  It's weird when you can meet people for the first time but feel like you have known them for a lifetime. We all just gelled so well.

Gail was so kind and I gave me one of her Flair buttons to use on my page as a memento. You can access her shop from her blog! Check them out!

I also did this layout with the same photos!

Check out Gail!!! Its like "Where's Wally!" These make me laugh !!!!
And I wish we could relive the weekend all over again!!!

...

I have so much more to share......will be back soon!
Eb xx
