Maya's layout

Hi everyone...just popping in to post Maya's layout she has created for the kids challenge this month at "Show us your stuff".
You will have to excuse the poor quality pic and editing.....I have lost photoshop on my computer at the moment??? Don't ask. But she has done an amazing job!!!! She has become so confident with scrapping!
She doesn't want my help, she asks me for certain products to use like WASHI TAPE!!!!! She says
"Mum, I need that tape stuff!!!"........she loves it too!!!!!
Maybe she needs her own washi tape necklace!!!!
So here is her layout using circles as what the criteria states.
Will is a tad cranky as he hasn't had time do his layout this month!!!!
Anyway thanks for popping by!!

Not so black and white.....

Well not with these layouts I have to share anyway! Its colour all the way... a rainbow of coluor!!!!!!
I had seen quite a few artwork pieces on pinterest lately with rainbows on them and I also saw a stunning layout but the talented Steph Caskey-Devlin that totally inspired me.! I hope Steph doesn't mind!?
So I decided to do this layout......... Its is based on a sketch by Bekky Fleck (page maps) and a challenge over on the Aussie scrap source blog. You can check it out here! The challenge is to use repetiton in your design.

                                                          This is the sketch!
Here is my layout "Dream in Color"...... Yes I know, I havent used a "U"! I ran out! So it is the American spelling!
I used various colors of Mister Huey's mists and brushed them onto my cardstock which I had randomly spread some modelling paste to...(surprise, surprise!).
Can you also spot my other favourite goodies??
Yep, my all time favourite Lil Red Rocket button!!! The red heart!!!

And of course a heavenly heart by "Charms creations"

I loved this technique so much I decided to create another! This time for a post over on the
"Lil Red Rocket " Blog!
This is a layout of my nephew Jack.

I really had wanted to use these journalling tags as they have cute little images of cars and trucks but I just couldn't get it to work!!! BUT I loved the border and colour on these so I just used them like photo matts instead!!! See you can always make things work even if they are not the right theme!!!! LOL!

LOVE these traffic and helicopter buttons! Perfect for boys of all ages!!!

My next layout is for this months Scrap the Girls Challenge.
The challenge is a quote........

"Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of.

You know whatever you do, they'll still be there." Amy Li

So as you know you cant use photos of boys, and I couldn't find a photo of my sister and I.
So at a retreat recently I finally got to meet the beautiful Donna White, and she had given me this photo of her gorgeous girls to scrap. So here is my entry....
I must admit this didn't turn out as well as I had hoped :(
I found it hard fitting in such a long quote!!!

And lastly here is a layout that I created as part of the monthly colour challenge on the Crate paper blog. Unfortunately when I completed this and didn't submit in time......oops! Oh well. I have this layout in my collection.

And of course I used some more "Lil Red Rocket" cuteness!!!!

Well Thanks for stopping by.

A must try challenge!!!!

Hi everyone! Im back to share my layout for the next challenge at "show us your stuff".
We have a technique for you to try based on this tutorial by the talented Stacey Young. I love Stacey's layering as I myself love to add many layers to my pages.
I have used calico as Stacey has but I am not a big Prima fan so I used lots of pretty new Crate paper papers and embellishments! .
So here is my layout!!!
And some detail shots although you cannot really see the detail completely sorry......

Make sure you head over and have a look at the other DT members examples...they are stunning!
And dont't forget the kids challenge!! ( must get my kiddies on to it too!!!)
Thanks for popping by!

Grab a cuppa...you could be here a while!

HI! As you may remember from my last post I went to a retreat last weekend and I had a fabulous time!!!! So I thought I should share my layouts with you! I didn't create too many but I enjoyed the process in doing each one......
The first three are layouts I did based on three challenges for Scrapbooking from Scratch! Peta was awesome and bought her fabulous store to the retreat! what a mammoth effort so thanks Peta!!!

The first challenge was a quote which I actually used on a layout I don't have to show you!! i used a photo of Crystal Goulding, so she has it (although she hasn't posted it on her blog yet!!!!)

The next was a color challenge. The colors were mustard yellow, aqua and white. I love this cheeky photo of Will!

 Next was a sketch.........
This is my "Lil fish". She LOVES swimming!!! lots of bright colours, texture paste ans misting!!!

This one was also part of the challenges for the weekend! it was another sketch set by Raquel Bowman from A piece of cake designs!!! Love her kits so I definately wanted to be in the running to win a voucher to buy her kits!!!

These photos are of my children and the children of my dearest friend! these children are just beautiful and they have become more like famliy than friends!!!

Heres a little closeup!

The rest of my layouts were just because layouts!
This one I used the new Crate paper kit from Scrapbooking from Scratch. I also pulled out some extremely old rubons!!!

And this one........

How cool are these new Heidi Swapp frames!!!??

Now you may have noticed that I use a lot of circles on my layouts!!! I have for a long time! I love using the off cuts from cutting them out too!! Well let me tell you......it has become a trend!!! all my friends have started doing the same!!!! LOL!!! I told them it was addictive!!!They pulled out the cricut and started cutting!!! But just remember who started this trend!!!!

Now while I was there you may remember me saying that I participated in a photo swap and I did a layout for Raquel.
Well Iwas extrememly lucky to have the very talented Mal Gardner create this layout for me. Thanks Mal I love it!!!

I also just wanted to share this layout which I created for last months Scrap the girls challenge  but I forgot to upload it! oops!!!
Its using older photos of Maya!
I used the new "Neapolitan" range from Dear Lizzy!

And very last... I promise is this layout I created yesterday for the challenge over at 123 Challenge!
The criteria this month is to use
ORANGE
+
BAKERS TWINE
THE WORD ENJOY

Here is Will enjoying painting. He loves being creative and I love that he loves it!!!

Well well done if you got through all of that!!!!!!
Thanks for popping by , Ebxxx
