Here is another layout I have created for the "Sassy Scrappers" blog.
Don't fall over I have actually used a patterned paper for my background!!!! It doesn't happen very often but I LOVED this paper from the "Here and Now" collection by Echo Park and just had to use it!

Once again I have created interest on my background by using some yellow water colour paint and some black machine stitching!

And the main feature of my layout is again another of the "Heidi Swapp" acrylic tags! I am LOVING using these!! A new addiction I think , lol!
You can see also more of the yummy Echo Park stickers and I have cut out some stars from kraft cardstock and added some little sequins.

I have used some cotton to create a rough frame around my photo!

So there you have another layout! Hope you like and I am pleased to read that some of you have been trying my tip for my splattered backgrounds from last week! Have fun!!!

Scatter Joy!

Awwww this boy sure does! This is a layout of Will using a photo when he was just 3! So cute!!!
I have used last months "A Piece of cake designs" kit to create this layout!
Please excuse the photo of this layout, it's extremely overcast ever day here at the moment and making taking photos very difficult!

I have created the background with some Tim Holtz distress inks and then used all the gorgeous quotes and words from the tags and sticker sheet in the kit to create this layout!

I once again LOVED using the vellum and just free hand cut some frames out and attached with some staples!

I have added some more sequins and some punched stars from the glitter trim and there you have it!
Thanks for popping by , Eb xx

Guest designer!

Hi! Just popped in quickly between caring for a house full of sickies! OMG! 2013 is not my fav year so far!! Life is too crazy!
Anyway I was asked to be a Guest designer over at "Sassy Scrapper" and I was sent an amazing kit of goodies to work with!!!
I started with a simple layout to begin with...............

I have used white cardstock and some Dylusions spray to create the yellow splatter effect.
To do this I tip a few drops onto the cardstock so it pools a little. I then take an acrylic block I use for stamping and hold it just above my pool of ink. I then drop the block into the pool of ink allowing it to splatter, I repeat the block a few times to achieve the effect where I want to.

To add to my background I doodled in some stars with a black pen. I use a pilot permaball pen.
I have also stamped with a Dina Wakely handwriting stamp.
I have used a gorgeous Heidi Swapp acrylic tag as my tile and used various stickers from an Echo Park
"Here and Now" sticker sheets along with the little captured word which I cut from "chalkboard quotes" patterned paper by Echo Park also.
I have also used some wooden veneer shapes by Freckled Fawn and used a small star punch to cut some stars from my patterned papers.
I have added some kaiser black pearls and rhinestones also.
Add in some machine sewing and some embroidery cotton and there you have it!!!
I will be back again soon with another share!

I'M BEING LIFTED!!!

Check this out!!

New Piece of Cake kit!

Hi everyone!
I have got it all covered this month! I have baby photos and crazy, fun friend photos that I have scrapped this month with the once again awesome kit!!! Just shows how versatile these "Piece of cake design kits" are!

This first one is one of my all time favourite photos of Maya as a baby. her tiny, wrinkled feet. Once I saw the very cute exclusive "Give a girl a blog" stamp I knew i wanted to scrap an old baby photo so I went and had some re printed especially!

So here is my layout...............

I have used white cardstock and some Distress Ink to create my background and then added some machine stitching to highlight my tiny photo.
I have cut up two of the echo park journalling tags and layered them underneath my photo as well as a torn piece of the gorgeous starry vellum! I also cut the little verse from a tag also.

I have used one of the Heidi Swapp tags and cut some circles from the various patterned papers ( some of the colours you see are also from the journalling tags!)

I have used some sequins ( from my stash as the pink was a little bright for this particular layout) and used a star punch to cut out some small stars! Also used is the twine, the flower , the gorgeous stamp, various stickers from the sticker sheet and an older release "cherry flair".

Ok , so from soft and sweet to loud, bright and crazy!!!
So I have a confession to make, I made a big boo boo on this layout :(!! You will spot it straight away I am sure and I apologise to my gorgeous friend Sharmaine I didn't mean for your face to be red!!!! As we all do I decided I needed some red splatters, and yep I splatted on my photo and i tried to fix it which made it worse !!! :( Oh well I, the joys of handmade!!!! I still love this layout.

These photos were taken at "escape to create" retreat which I was very lucky to attend earlier this year.
I got to meet some fantastic, funny, inspiring ladies and also catch up with some other dear friends!

Lots of Dylusions sprays on my background mixed with a Heidi Swapp journalling tag, strips of paper,an awesome "cherry flair", some echo park stickers and the cute little sequins.
I have also used the exclusive stamp here by just stamping the small stars. Love it mixed in the clusters of sequins!

Well I wiEb xxxth more shares soon !
