STUCK!

I managed amother sneaky one in while the kids were playing with their new toys!!!!
This the December 15th sketch over at STUCK!

                               Created this layout of Will blowing out his 9th Birthday candles!

So christmas has come and gone again for another year! We had a lovely day and the kids were spoilt rotten as usual!!! I am still editing photos (not that I actually took many as I was just relaxing enjoying the day!). But here are a couple to share.........

Two more.....on a roll!!!

Wow! I know, I can't believe it myself! I had an hour and a half to myself last night so I scrapped two layouts!! Yes TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!

                            This one is for White with one! The challenge is  

WHITE + RED + CHRISTMAS PHOTO

And this one is another christmas photo! it's funny how it takes me until the following christmas to get last years photos scrapped!!!

This month we want to see you create a layout using a Christmas themed photo and a Non Traditional colour scheme

A quick one!

I had hoped I would find some more time to scrap than I have this month but as usual December is crazy busy month!!!

I only have a few minutes to spare so this will just be a quick post so I can upload a couple of challenges I managed to complete!!!

This one is for "Scrap the girls". The challenge is to include a list. Well I saw this little list on pinterest a while ago and thought it was so sweet!!!!!!! ( sorry about the poor pics.....I just couldnt get a good photo of this layout!!)

                                          This one is for "Stuck's " December 1st sketch!!!!

                                           Gotta love these faces!! He was pinching me!!

                   And I couldn't pop in and not share another "A piece of cake designs" kit layout!!! 

Another layout of Maya moo using lots of strips of the beautiful papers and the sticker borders as well!!!

This last one is a layout I created only because I created the background for another layout and decided not to use it!So I created this one and I mus admit I LOVE how it turned out!

Well in case this is my last post before christmas, I want to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope you enjoy your day with your loved ones and that Santa is kind to you!

A bit late.......sorry!!!

I am really sad to say that this is the last challenge for 123 Challenge blog :(
As everyone would understand life just becomes too busy sometimes and Charm has decided it is time to end the site. So I just want to say WELL DONE to Charm. It has been a fantastic, inspirational site and she has has run it tremendously.
But there is one last challenge!!I would love all my followers to give it go and send the site out with a bang!!!!
 The challenge is:

WORD: ART or ARTIST {a word with ART in it}

COLOUR: RED

THEME: A DRAWING {from your child or something you've created yourself for example}

I had so much fun creating this layout and it was just the perfect challenge for these photos that I had taken of Maya. She is such a creative soul. I watch her paint like this and she just disappears into her own little world. She loves to get the water colour paints out and I showed her how to use a spritzer bottle filled with water and she happily creates for hours. She knows exactly how she wants things to look. She had also painted the stamped butterfly and I had been keeping it in my scrap room waiting to use it on a page.

I look forward to seeing all your creations.

JUST SQUEEZED IT IN....

today is the last day of the month and I really felt like scrapping today as I was childless for a few hours. But my mojo has disappeared:(.
So I decided to tackle some last minute challenges!!!!!

This one is based on the cool sketch at "Scrap Friends". I have been meaning to join in on their challenge for a while and today I did!

And I always try to do the monthly challenge over at "Anna's craft cupboard" and until today I hadn't had time.

Were you lucky enough to get your hands on the latest "A Piece of cake designs" kit!??????

It is totally drool worthy!!!! It has amazing colours, fabulous embellishments and lots of pretties!!!

Here is one layout just to get you going!!!!!


I have used lots of paint and stamping to create my background and then have added some sticker strips  which I have cut up into smaller pieces, the cute tag and cute cherry on top button, along with some twine and some alphas. I have added a small amount of my own washi tape and the handcut butterfly!

Where do I start!?

I know it's been a while since I posted but so much has been happening!!!!

My first exciting news is that after a few years of umming and arghing we finally found our perfect block to build our own new home! We have looked and looked and never could find what we wanted until now!! We have bought an acre and a half in town!! So exciting and scary at the same time!!!! What made it more stressful was the fact that it went to auction while we were on holidays and we had to bid over the phone!!!! Thank goodness my uncle was happy to go to the auction for us!!

So as I said we recently holidayed in the beautiful Merimbula. We love getting back there to visit some of our best friends after leaving there about 9 years ago.
Here are just a few pics I took.....

And this is my other very exciting news!!!!

I have been asked to teach at this amazing retreat next year along side these creative ladies.

Wow! I am so overwhelmed and excited to be asked!!!! 

Anyway I don't have a lot of creativity to share at the moment but I have managed these challenges this month.

This first one is for "Scrap the Girls".

This month's challenge is

WHITE + GREEN(S) + CHEVRON PATTERN

I traced a chevron pattern on my background and then highlighted some of it with my selection of green washi tapes. I also LOVE this flair button by "Greatest view".

JUST BECAUSE...

At a retreat I organised last month I managed a few "just because" layouts! You know the ones you can do that don't need to follow any criteria or meet any deadlines! So here are some more layouts to share with you

                                             I just loved the misting on the manilla tags!

                                          This is Will and his friends heading off on school camp!

 

 We recently were able to go and visit where my husband works and have a look around. This is Will sitting           in for daddy at the control panel!

                     I have already scrapped this photo but I did again. Maya and her friend Stella.

 This one isn't the clearest or best photo but it is of Will holding his first letter from his first pen pal Lachlan!

 This photo was taken on an autumn day in our front yard. Gotta love gumboot days!

 Ever since Maya was young she would love to listen to people read or tell her a story. So here she is enjoying a story with Nan.

Twice in one day!

I know! Don't fall over! I am back posting twice in one day!! You see I decided to edit the rest of my layouts so I could start uploading them so because I am guilty of completing pages for challenges and then not submitting them I decided to share some more challenge pages!!

                                         So here is my entry for "White with one" this month.

WW1 OCTOBER CHALLENGE...

WHITE + YELLOW + STARS

This one I had fun with. I replicated my circle and mists design from my Stuck! layout that I showed you earlier. It is for " Kraft it up".

October at Kraft It Up is MISTING month, your challenge is to create a layout on Kraft cardstock or Kraft patterned paper showcasing some great techniques/looks with mists.

These photos are all of Will and Maya with their cousins taken on Father's day this year. 

And lastly today ( I promise!!) is my entry for the second sketch at "Stuck!" this month.

                 Don't you just love this little butterfly button!? Of course  it is a Lil Red Rocket one!!!

So I still have more to show you from my recent retreat but I will save them for another time, maybe tomorrow :)!!!
