Has it been that long????

Oh my goodness! I cant believe how long it has been since I blogged! I have good reasons though!!!
Firstly my computer finally died and so I had to order a new one. So I ordered a new one but it arrived damaged...ARGGHH! So after having to email photos through...(which is kinda hard when you havent got a computer!!) Dell agreed to send a replacement! Well after waiting another 2 weeks they rang and said that the factory where their hard drives are produced had flooded and they couldnt tell me when a replacement would arrive....ARGGHH!!! SO eventually the agreed just to replace the damaged screen! So after at  least a month I got my computer back! But you know what its like having to reload so many things onto it and I lost contacts etc!!! Anyway......

I hope you all had a fabulous christmas! I was spoilt rotten. My darling hubby bought me a new Canon 7D camera!!!!!! Such a surprise!!! Now to work out how to use it!!! Im definately going to be signing up for many photography classes this year!!!

In the midst of all of this I had some exciting news!!!
I was asked to design for Polly Scrap kits!!!!! These kits are seriously cool!!! Stay tuned for an awesome site opening soon with challenges and a great forum too!!!

Here are just some of the layouts I have created from the kits.....( I have added a few bits and pieces from my stash too!)

I didn't manage a lot of scrapping in December but of course I created for the awesome challenge at "Show us your Stuff". The criteria this month is to use red, white and blue!!! And of course a handmade embellie! I have used a gorgeous lollipop from Charms Creations!!!

The only other challenge I managed to attempt was the sketch at Anna's Craft Cupboard....

Well I'm off cos I have deadlines looming!!! I hope you and your family have a happy and safe new year!!!

New month...new challenges!!!!!

Gotta love the start of a new month when all the challenges come out! I am really enjoying tackling all the different challenges out there.I have completed a few already but hope to do some more.
First up is "Scrap the Girls". This month the challenge is to use multiple photos and to have pink polka dots! Perfect for a "circle" addict like me!!!! I have scrapped these adorable photos of my youngest neice 'Lila".......how cute!!!
I have used misting to create pink polka dots and my papers have pink spots too!

And just a close up shot!!! I have loved being a little bit arty and grungey with my layouts lately! 

 Next is my entry for "white with one". The challenge is to use white (duh!) and a bright color and flowers. Well nothing is as bright and happy as yellow is it!?

 I realised I hadn't participated in "the Color Room" challenges for ages so I gave this one ago.

This is my layout. The photos are of another of my gorgeous nieces 'Charlotte'. gotta love her look!!!!

Once again,lots of mist and paint and grunge!!!

Need some advice/thoughts/tips please!!!!

I am thinking of purchasing a new camera .....a Canon 7D.I currently have a 400D which Ive had for years and love it but feel its time to upgrade! Anyone have any advice thoughts etc. I am also going to buy a 70mm-200mm lense (I can only afford the cheaper one!!!). But I would love any feedback you can give me!!!
We are looking at this site to purchase...."techrific".   Has anyone else used this site before??

A quick plug...

I don't often plug businesses or products but I found these and I thought I would share them with you. I love tapes etc so when i discovered these little goodies i fell in love. They are little packets of masking stickers. You peel off the strips and circles...:).......and use them like tape or patterned paper. Even better you can  easily create banners and little flags with them!!!!! SO cute...a must have.

 And then theres these gorgeous rolls of fabric tape!!!!!!!! Had to have these too!!!!!!

Ready for more....

So I thought I would comeback and share the rest of my creations from last weekend......
This one was going to be for the Kraft it up challenge this month but I dont think it fits any of the criteria....  :/
Used some Crate paper "random"papers and embellies.....

This is of Will and his mates......more out takes than good photos but made for a great page! 

Used lots of Echo Park Happy days and a bit of October Afternoon.This layout was inspired (well the blackpaint!) by Crystal's work!!!I so cant scraplift!!!!! I tried!

And this one is just because I love Maya's hair in plaits!!! Lots of October afternoon!

WARNING......LONG POST...LOTS OF PHOTOS!!!

Well I have just had the best time yet again at the Imagination Factory retreat!!! It was a bonus this year as i though due to hubby working..(new job :)) I couldnt go....but  onlya few weeks before my step mum and my mum offered to babysit...wahoo!!!! thanks Robyn and Mum!!! xxx So off i went and I created 10 layouts!!! Which for me at a retreat is a lot and I must say Im happy with them all......
So begins uploading them........I completed a lot of the challenges this month so yep get a cuppa.....
Ill just share the challenge Layouts today and the rest over the next few days...Here we go.
Firstly I want to share these Layouts because these are of two of my best friends.
The first is a picture of myself and my dear friend Marelle. For those of you who dont know Marelle she is the most caring, generous most beautiful person I have met and I am so lucky to have her as a friend....

Next is a layout of myself and Crystal. Where do I start.....??? Crystal and I had been online scrappy friends for a while but until camp Mojo we had never met.When we met we instantly became closer friends. I am lucky to have met her and a day doesn't go past that we don't talk or text. Yep she drives me nuts!!!!!! ( I tell her so!!!!) but I love her  to bits!!!

This  is my Layout for Scrap the boys! I took this photo recently of my all my favourite boys.......My DAD, my two brothers, my hubby and of course Will!!! the challenge is to use hand made embellies on your layout. well firstly I cut out my circles to create my background and I of course used a "charms Creation" lollipop....

Next of course is the challenge at "Scrap the girls"....

The challenge this month is to add distressing to your layout and use the word "love"in your title.

Next comes my layout using the first sketch over at Stuck! Really loved doing this one....

This is a photo of Will with his only boy cousin Jack...

                               This one I created using the sketch on the "Lil Red Rocket site"......

This one is  based on the challenge at "White with one". Any guesses what the color is this month??? Yep you guessed it black. You also needed to use mists or paint.....

I also had a go at the sketch over on "Handmade by Suzanne".....

Ok so you're all probably over this post but just one more for today....(need to be eligible for the challenges!!!).
